Sustainability — Bali Private Heli’s Environmental & Community Commitments

Sustainability & Community Impact

Our Philosophy: Terbang Bertanggung Jawab (Fly Responsibly)

At Bali Private Heli, we believe that the privilege of accessing Indonesia’s breathtaking landscapes comes with a profound responsibility to protect them. Our commitment to sustainability is not an afterthought; it is a core principle integrated into every aspect of our operations. Guided by our philosophy of Terbang Bertanggung Jawab, we are dedicated to minimizing our environmental footprint, supporting local communities, and contributing to the conservation of the natural wonders we have the honor of sharing with our clients. This commitment is a key pillar of the Juara Holding Group’s corporate charter.

Environmental Commitments

We actively implement strategies to mitigate the environmental impact of our aviation operations.

  • Certified Carbon Offsetting: We understand that aviation has a carbon footprint. To address this, we have partnered with Gold Standard to offset 100% of the carbon emissions from every flight. For each flight hour logged, a corresponding investment is made into certified Indonesian reforestation and renewable energy projects, ensuring our contribution has a direct, positive impact within our own nation.
  • Conservation Partnerships: We are proud financial supporters of the Coral Triangle Center in Sanur, Bali, a leading organization dedicated to marine conservation. Furthermore, we consult with WWF Indonesia to design flight paths over coastal and marine areas that maintain safe altitudes, minimizing disturbance to sensitive wildlife, particularly during whale migration and turtle nesting seasons.
  • Modern, Fuel-Efficient Fleet: Our fleet is comprised of modern helicopters like the Airbus H125, which are renowned for their fuel efficiency and lower emissions compared to older models. Meticulous maintenance ensures our aircraft always operate at peak performance, further optimizing fuel consumption.
  • Zero Single-Use Plastics: All our in-flight and ground service amenities are completely free of single-use plastics. We provide clients with reusable containers and locally sourced products with sustainable packaging.

Community Commitments

Our connection to the people and culture of Indonesia is the soul of our business. We are committed to ensuring that our presence is a source of positive economic and social impact.

  • Prioritizing Local Employment: We are proud that over 90% of our team, from our highly skilled pilots and engineers to our client relations specialists, are Indonesian nationals. We invest heavily in their ongoing training and professional development, building local capacity in the specialized field of luxury aviation.
  • Direct Community Support: A percentage of the revenue from every charter flight is allocated to the Juara Foundation, the philanthropic arm of our parent group. These funds are directed towards education, infrastructure, and waste management projects in remote communities we operate near, such as the villages surrounding Mount Batur and in West Bali National Park.
  • Promoting Local Artisans: Our client welcome amenities are sourced directly from local artisans and social enterprises in Bali. By showcasing the work of weavers from Tenganan and silversmiths from Celuk, we provide a direct economic benefit to these communities and share a piece of authentic Indonesian culture with our guests.

Governance and Transparency

Our sustainability initiatives are governed by a dedicated committee within Juara Holding Group. We produce an annual impact report detailing our contributions and progress towards our environmental and community goals. We believe in transparency and are committed to being a responsible leader in Indonesia’s luxury tourism sector. For more information on our programs, please contact us at bd@juaraholding.com.
